24 hours of world air traffic

http://radar.zhaw.ch/resources/airtraffic.mov

It's a 19meg download but interesting to see how the air traffic follows the time of day.

It must be at Christmas time, did you see towards the end Santa's sleigh zoom over the North Pole region at a speed far greater than the others!

Nil Speed restrictions on him!

I wondered that for a few seconds as well .... some kind of high-speed military flights??? .... but then I realised it's simply because of the expanded scale of the map near the poles.

Glad you like it guys.

Does anyone have a link to that time lapse video similar to this one where hundreds of aircraft divert and/or hold due to a major thunderstorm somewhere in the US?
