The planes have not been touched since they were stored. The bearing'swould be stuffed, the legs would be stuffed, the engines would be stuffed, the L-39 was stored with half tanks (which is a big no no if you ask the manufacturer) and the L-39 was never inhibited.

B.A. The aircraft were owned by different companies and people and not by a single person. Also having spent a lot of years in the Warbird industry I very much doubt someone had a rare warbird "stolen" as it is not easy to move them for starters let alone sell them again with out anyone noticing.

I'm with Capt Wally, would definitely tap that.
But only if she asked you nicely first, right?

As for the lovely Svetlana, I saw her fly at Wanaka and subsequently bumped into her in downtown Wanaka (figuratively speaking unfortunately). She certainly stands out in a crowd. I reckon she's gorgeous.
I tell ya I would not crawl over her to get to any of you lot!

Unfortunate indeed but hardly an insurmountable restoration project. You'd have us believe they were parked out in the rain.

Can we change the subject of this thread back to Svetlana?

Far more interesting than stuffed bearings on an idle war bird that somebody wants to get their hands on cheaply...
