Warbirds collection seized

Anyone remember the details of a collection of warbirds, possibly in Queensland, that were seized, within the last five years or so? Reason/types/details/outcome?

TIA

Do a Google search under 'Steven Hart'.

A few entries re the ATO case against Steven Hart may appear.

Also a search using 'seized warbirds' as the search term, yielded this:

AirCentre Aviation News Digest - April 2006 - Week Three

TexanPilot 14th Sep 2008 00:40

its till in dispute but the idiots that took them have done nothing to them in the past few years and they are now ruined.

Capt Wally 14th Sep 2008 01:16

I bet there will be numerous people interested in those seized planes, often such events turn normal people into 'thieves' themselves!
There's always two sides to any story, am sure the Feds just didn't rock up without due cause to do such a thing, shame about their possible deterioration though:bored:
On another note re the link to AirCenter Aviation news, check out that drop dead gorgeous Svetlana Aero pilot, my dreams will now change after seeing that stunner! & to think she is a pilot too, there is a God afterall, now if I could only get her hubby to break a leg of something !:E
hey it's sunday, one can drool 'cause one can go repent straight away:E

Probably. If it does, then it will probably be in synch with Capt Wally's and Lh-R T's 'give-a-fcuk-o-meters', which both appear to have red-lined! :8

Binoculars 14th Sep 2008 15:29

Yep, based on that YouTube link a real dog. Woof.

Capt Wally 14th Sep 2008 22:17

Wow what have I created here? what warbirds being seized? Svetlana a man? Guys Russian birds/girls all have a 'brutal' look about them, no softies amongst that lot. What with their often abusive husbands (Russian way of life to some) these women need to be tough. I have a friend of mine who 'imported' for want of a better word a Russian bride, she is a stunner (like Svetlana) she has a 16 y old daughter whom my friend is constantly protecting from nasty Ozzy boys at school. So if Svetlana is a 'dog' then we have an awful lot of young Ozzy boys just begging to be labelled "dog lovers":E
Anyway no doubt the Mods will can this as they always do:bored:

Now back to the original thread, I ask how can somebody collect that many Warbirds? are they not very expensive toy/s? I hope they aren't left to rot for too long:bored:

Like I said each to their own !:ok:

Brian Abraham 15th Sep 2008 01:48

I ask how can somebody collect that many Warbirds
Friend had a very rare warbird in hangar under going restoration and went to airport one day to find it gone, lock, stock and barrel. Observers had noted a truck at the hangar removing aircraft but tracing proved impossible. One way to add to a collection if you were of a mind, as happens in other fields of collecting.

Capt Wally 15th Sep 2008 02:37

Geee 'BA' the brazenness of some people, i don't know how these crims live with themselves. Trouble is & this if off track I know but our laws are a joke:bored: Nowhere near enough deterent measures for some! Theft ought to be up there with the worst of them, such events often ruin peoples lives forever! grrrrrrr

Brian, very rare warbirds are not that easy to hide. Care to elaborate in case someone knows where it is. (Spotters do have their uses!)

TexanPilot, I was under the impression that the aeroplanes are still locked away in their hangar at Archerfield so what is your definition of "ruined"?

As for the lovely Svetlana, I saw her fly at Wanaka and subsequently bumped into her in downtown Wanaka (figuratively speaking unfortunately). She certainly stands out in a crowd. I reckon she's gorgeous.
