I know this is an old thread but this might be useful for anyone choosing between Jepps and DAPs for IREX and/or ATPL subjects.

When I did ATPL NAV I used Jeppesen plates and charts. One of the questions required plotting across two Jeppesen en route charts. Unfortunately these charts were on the back of each other which made things tricky to say the least.

Just to clarify does JeppView contain the "AIP" as well as the Terminal / Enroute Charts etc?
I should have worded my original question better.

Yes, Jeppview (windows) and JeppFD/JeppFD Pro (tablet), have the Australian AIP If you’ve subscribed to the appropriate coverage area. The only thing Jepps, electronic or paper, fall down on is the Australian ERSA. The Jepp Airport Directory lacks information contained in ERSA. For example, I don’t think the runway distance supplement for ERSA is published anywhere by Jeppesen. Jeppesen also doesn’t have an equivalent to the planning chart, which isn’t a big deal now that SIGMETs are produced in graphical format.

Thanks for that, another question I should have asked from the outset, does Jeppview run on a Mac or Linux (Ubuntu).?
Not the end of the world if it doesn't just curious.
