Successful ICAO ATPL conversions? CASA

Planning to convert my atpl license, Been flying almost 10 yrs in an airline before I decided to move here in australia for family reasons. I thought I was ready to give up flying. I was wrong. Found myself going through the CASA website checking the conversion process and reading old threads. It just seems like a hard work but would like to hear any success stories if possible to give me a push. And some tips about the process would also help.
Thanks and safe skies everyone.
