Gavin Secombe gets my vote. I have used all 3 providers mentioned in this thread and found Gavin to be the most thorough and supportive.

He certainly over teaches his subjects beyond what is required and he acknowledges this, but in saying that, you are prepared for the surprises CASA pull in these ridiculous exams.

These things aren't about subject knowledge at all. They're just revenue raising psych tests for CASA, which unfortunately are hoops we have to jump through.

Good Luck with the frustrations of living and breathing Flight Planning.

You've only ever "heard" bad reports about Gavin Secombe...

Pretty useless advice to give when you've never actually done any of his courses.

Yep - can confirm that Gav Secombe does give you knowledge over and above what is required to sit and pass the exam (first time round) .... and in the long run isn't that what you want!!

I'm sure this question has been asked so I do apologise...Due to family and work commitments, I have to do the correspondence course...decided to go with Secombe. For the best results and time turnaround...what order should I do the subjects in? ...my study materials don't arrive until Wednesday so this question may be answered in the material info...just wanted to get a heads up.

Regards, PA

One last question... where are the better places to live for the 5 weeks or so I'll be in YSBK? Would like to avoid getting stabbed/shot if possible
BAHAHAHAHA

On a serious note, there are some decent places, all dependent on how much you want to spend...

I've been to both Secombe and AFT, and I would definitely recommend AFT if you want to get through the exams quickly and easily.
