Virgin Blue Information Request

Hi ,

Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I have left Aus for JAA land to find employment. Thinking about coming back, is there any chance of getting work with VB with 737-800 rating(700 hours , 970TT).

I have a Australian CPL, and a UK CAA fATPL. Will it be possible to work for a company in Aus even though I only have the JAA ATPL's done ?

Thanks

Hey
From what information i have gathered by reading around .. i think all you have to do is sit the Air Law exam again to convert back to AU.

No he won't, thank goodness common sense is taking a hold.

VB has decided the rest of the developed world must be onto something, i.e the 1940s requirement of 500ME has been dropped. Yeah, believe it or not, 737-800 time on type is now more highly regarded than a VFR chieftain - crazy eh!

Apply mate, great job to return home to, with your experience you'll have no trouble with the training.

Thanks for the replys,

ules - I think if you have a ATPL then you only have to sit the air law exam however I do not have a ATPL, just the subjects completed (JAA ATPL's).

I guess it may be easier to wait until my ATPL is issued. I'll give it a shot.

Cheers
