I don't have any tattoos, but see nothing wrong with them. I have flown with many crew members over the last 25 years with them. They are of no consequence to your career. I have seen some beautiful tattoos on ladies by the pool and they are not a stigma on them either.

Yo..

Mine's good. I've got a barcode on the back of my neck. When I'm at Woolies or BBC Hardware and the checkout sheila lasers the stuff I'm buying, but then says "nyeerrrhhh it won't scyan", I just say "Ok, I've brought my own" and get her to zap my barcode tat.

Always comes up at $1.25.

"Easy", I says. And I'm on my way.

Oh dear

G'day again Flyitboy

(Deleted because I couldn't be bothered)

Back onto thread:

G'day Holloway. As I said earlier, if the tattoo isn't visible when wearing normal clothing/uniform/etc it shouldn't be a problem for any employer.

But as you can see from some postings here, some people don't like them, and you might get some very negative responses from people if they find out that you've got one.

Mate, if you get one, post it here so we can see it.

Cheers,

DIVOSH

Matt

Mate!!!!!

Society is a mix of all sorts, and some of us like, or appreciate different things.

You could well drive a BMW, and I would call you a W@NKER, (but in a friendly manner). I drive an LC200.....you might think I am a concrete cowboy......and part of the time that would be true! Except I rode the GSXR today.

Di Vosh's artwork looks very interesting.....but to me I would rather see it in a painting than on his back.....but I would not let it stop me being having him as a friend. Just can't see why on earth he would want to do it! (Disclaimer....never met him either)

So its not all one sided you know!

Tats somehow they always make me think of cattle branding....................I choose not to have scrap metal pierced through my lip or nose, and I choose not to have my body marked by tats. Other people choose not to flog around in light aircraft............

So it's a Port Jackson shark, Hoss eh?

Make sure you use the macro lens

Obviously it was fully functional now that you and C9 are proud parents

Guess who gets 'unscrewed' in July?

Firstly, The PM.... you kill me!Very funny dude.

I have no tatts adorning my body but I know several good mates that have and work for QF, JQ & CX etc.

All airlines will issue long sleeve shirts if requested which would cover any tatts you might have(provided they're not on your neck or face).

Turning up to the medical fit, trim and heathy is the only concern that the DAME's will have.

As for being bogan Flyitboy, some are yes, but they're not on you dude so why get so worked up about it all.

Cheers
Bill.

Ona another thread here KiwiChick posted her tat. Its a P51 Mustang on her lower back.

http://www.pprune.org/forums/showpos...7&postcount=37

She has a fear one day her P51 might turn into a B52

If she had not joined the RNZAF recently I am sure she would be in here in a flash!

Seems a little 'communism has arisen in here with a post or two of mine gone missing! I've been ticked off by the Mod's. Their waving their big stick around because I live in a country where free speach is allowed, well not in their eyes it seems. A level playing field it's not. I guess the ones earlier on in this thread who seemed to have some support for me on my opinions of this issue (& that's all this is really) have gone silent !
I still believe that Tatts are silly & unprofessional in our industry but funny you know, that's just my OPINION!
Now do yr worst guys & attack in groups 'cause you can't be anymore unfair than a MOD!
