Qantas Cadet Program

Has anybody been or currently in the Qantas Cadet Program ?

If so, could you please shed some light on the following questions.

How competitive is the program?

Is it difficult to gain employment under the CIPP after the program?

Is the Qantas Cadet Program really worth it? I've been on the UNSW
Aviation website and they offer a Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) course
which gives roughly the same hours and licenses. Just that I think
the UNSW is cheaper but unlike Qantas, does not give you a chance
to be employed wit only 250 hours.

Thanks

Given the current "employee's market" some how I don't think you will find it hard to get a job with 250hrs...

Gone are the days of packing up your bags and driving north (I made the trip, loved every minute of it), recently fresh CPLs have been given phone interviews and once they passed them have been told to fly/drive up for a check flight....yet to hear too many failure stories!

Also the network of friends that you get at UNSW will put you in good steed for that 1st job!!!
