I would have to put a vote in for a Shrike.
Although the C402C was not bad.
For a single a late C210N was good, heard the -R was better but never touched one. Don't know what Cessna did to the -M's but all the ones i flew were ordinary!

...................."flyhardmo" (ya gotta wonder about that name !).........I have to agree about the B200, good ship all round although a bit like trying to drag a shed thru the air, down low with 1700SHP on tap the speedo won't go much above a couple of hundred ships measuring numbers (knots) And talk about an 'electric' plane !!.spill a cup of coffee on the fwd floor area (which below is about a zillion circuit boards!)& say goodbye to 90% of eveything !!
The Titan was also a good ship as you mentioned but also just off the ground felt like it hit a brick wall 'till the gee gee's overcome the typical Cessna drag. Roomy tho & by far the best cabin twin with acrea's of cockpit space
Must admit the DH104 (Dove) was the most stable platform to fly but sheeeeeez the ergonomics of it where pre Noah's days !
Early C150...........the most simple a/c about, if you couldn't fly one of them then best you wait for 'wings' at the other end of yr life !

SIUYA.
A Pig on one should be no hassles at all for Wes. After all, he perfected the technique in a King Air 200 on none!!
Wes is the Founding President and Patron of the Moresby Gliding Club!!
Think I heard Wes passed away a few years ago?

Torres, SIUYA,
Wes and Pearl used to live across the road from my parents up at Laurieton some years ago. Small world eh! Sad to hear if he has passed on. Facinating man, incredible life.
Yeah, and funny about some of those twin endorsements. nearly 20 years ago Jim Hazelton was checking me out in one of the ex NSW Air Ambo Queenairs. After about 15 minutes of some general stuff, he shut one down. "it's easier on these donks if we just feather it and restart it on the ground" No probs Jim. One of the owners was riding in the back and he hearly shat himself. " Errr... Excuse me Jim, but Krusty has never landed this thing on 2 engines let alone one!" Jim, who I must say had known me for some years, simply smiled and said, "you're ok aren't you?" Anyway as we were on final, Jim looked around the cabin and remarked, "I thought I recognised this aeroplane. It's the old girl that transported me from Orange to Sydney after I had my near fatal heart attack!"
Now at this stage I was fairly preoccupied with the landing, but a collegue who was also sitting down the back said the owner then turned blue!

KRUSTY........
I did my Queenair endorsement with Masling in 1979 when they were looking for some part timers. Used to do the odd fill-in for them on the RPT runs, and a lot of their night freight runs too. It suited me just fine, because I was already getting some regular charter work already out of Mascot. I really enjoyed flying the Queenair.
The aircraft I really didn't like was the C337. Got endorsed on it but hated the thing and never bothered getting the endorsement put on my licence.
Favourite light twin? Turboprop it's got to be the C441, followed by the Bandierante for sheer ease of single-pilot ops. I also flew the N22 and must say that I never had any problems whatsoever with it, apart from the fact that it was pretty slow! Piston-engine..........hmmmmm.........probably the C414 I think. A really nice aeroplane to operate!
Favourite jet? B727............without a doubt!
PS. Hey Jetflite..............if you're reading this them maybe you'll understand that some of us don't need any help from you to get (more) twin time. Thanks for the offer anyway!

Would like to have a fly of one of those Riley modified P210 with the turbine engine.
What else is on the list:
MU-2
Pilatus Porter
DHC-1 Chipmunk
Cessna C337
Beech Starship -not going to happen unless one is hidden away.
Had a sticky beak at a near brand new C210R, a guy was flying it around Australia, very nice less than 500 hours on the airframe.

Most memorable singles i've flown was a P210 (pressurized Cessna 210), so smooth and quiet. Remembered passing an Islander while he was cruising at 7500ft and i was climbing to 11500ft doing 500ft/min at 140kts, with 400kgs of cargo onboard. Cruised all day at 175ktas, during descent groundspeeds of 200kts common.
C206's another favorite. The Toyota Hi-lux of General Aviation.
Dc-9's are true Pilot's airplanes. Trim, trim, trim..Manual thrust, stone-dead reliable. In 2500 hours of flying one, i only experienced one unplanned overnight when the autobrakes failed and we blew a tire.
Airbus 319's/320's can be fun too with the autopilots off. Great fun to do a visual approach joining downwind at 2000ft with a constant 600 fpm all the way to touchdown. Just like a big Queen Air.Extremely satisfying!

To me any aircraft is a "pilots airoplane" if it can fly and needs a pilot then it is a pilots airoplane,
But my fav is a
Lancair 360 196kts tas. and a sexey little plane .like a flying gramaphone needle.
And it has a proper sticky thing
Cheers
