Post Visa Requirements

My daughter, an Aussie citizen, is a US resident, lives in Houston Texas and has obtained employment as a Trolley Dolly with a US domestic and international airline.

The airline requires her to establish whether, as a Flight Attendant, she requires a Visa for Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and China and “verify the restrictions and duration of the Visa”. They have that information for US citizens but not for Aussie citizens.

Anyone have that information or know where I can obtain it?

Thanks

DFAT would be the place to start!

Torres,

I would check with the embassies for all those countries. Google should find most of them for you. If your daughter is working for a scheduled carrier then there will generly speaking be less of a requirement for a visa. For unscheduled ops a lot of those countries will require a visa.

Been there, done that - DFAT and DIAC advise/recommend but the official line is verify with the relevant Embassy/Consultate and if in doubt, apply for a Visa - often not so simple where multiple entry crew Visas are involved.

Fortunately, all of those countries have Consulates in Houston. A few quick phone calls (hopefully) should get her the answers she needs.

(Make sure she tells them she is aircrew and ask for the longest duration visa.... especially Brazil. The first one they gave me was a 30 day duration gem! )
