737-800 engine start

Evening everyone,

I was just wondering at what N2 speed is the fuel control lever selected to the "run" position. I was under the impression that it was done at 25%, however a video of a 737-800 sim I saw said differently.

Does it vary?

Thanks so much in advance.

25% or max motoring speed which ever is the higher, with an absolute minimum of 20%. max motoring speed is defined as acceleration of less than 1% in 5 seconds.

Also N1 has to be greater than 0.
