Hi, Can anybody advise a good place in Victoria to get some time on a Super Cub. Also, any idea what the operating costs ect are for this a/c? Thank you, JG

Most are privately owned these days. So you might have to find someone that would hire. Check the CASA register. There is one in SA - Aldinga or thereabouts I think. Some of the glider clubs still use them for tugs, so might pay to look there.

Direct operationg costs would ~$50 ph for fuel & oil. Double that plus a bit for maint and insurance etc.

There are some on the market from time to time, but those that want a good sale price usually export to NZ or US where good rebuilds start at around US$140k. Go to www.supercub.org for some other info.

There is a good rebuild for sale in FNQ, see the ad in the trader. No such thing as a cheap Super Cub these days unless it needs a rebuild/rebag etc. Expect to pay at least $85k + for a reasonable one.
