ARTEMISP

Mate, you stink of a management pilot who needs his mouth washed out with some of my top shelf urine!
As a pilot, I am ASHAMMED of your attitude towards this act of absolute stupidity by these Eagle Capts - their airmanship is seriously lacking and so is yours.

Wouldn't piss on ya teeth if ya gums were on fire

To the dudes who were privy to such compost by these Eagle Capts...there is by far better fish to fry elsewhere.

Bogan out!

IF you get into Eagle, wicked. Well done.

If you don't it's no great loss. It may seem like the end of the world but it ain't. I missed and am now a Captain elsewhere as are many other failed interviewees.

There's always going to be arrogant c***s in aviation. Just try not to have anything to do with them, keep your powder dry, fill your boots, blah blah blah, and you shouldn't have to worry about tea and biscuits with the MFO when your big headedness finally catches you out, cause it will.

Remember, we're professional pilots paid to deal with the situations that arise between A and B, not to show how awesome you are on the wheel.

C ya round the traps

The only people who know how the whole interview went are the Eagle captains,
as said by Artemsip.
Err, don't the interviewees count?
Bet a 6 pack Ramjet was rubbing his hands with glee that day.

WOW!

Talk about grabbing the ball and running with it. William would be proud.

By the time this hits 6 pages, the talk will be that its about time the government legislated something and we all got welfare.

First of all, as this is not the first of such incidents to come out, I have little reason to doubt the main points are true.

Secondly, I hope we will all agree that Eagle has more good apples than bad. The bad ones however, appear to be very bad and are ruining it for all others working the grindstone. I think it is now the responsibility of all those at eagle who are good buggers to call time on this sort of crap. Interviewees shouldn't have to put up with it and nor should the rest of Eagle pilots. It is high time Eagle did some serious soul searching about the way they run their training department.

If kids in Europe can fly a jet successfully with a few hundred hours then surely ours can do the same in a glorified King Air, which happens to be a glorified Duchess. There is no good reason to have such a high failure rate other than that the trainers are failing their students.

Bravo. Precisely.

Perhaps the industry nepotism and ongoing acceptance of rookies training rookies is now coming home to roost.

Hi all,
I was on that interview last week.
Just wanted to say that it was not as bad as everything you hear about it.
They were all quite nice(even thru the panel interview stage)
However i did not even get a chance to fly the plane.
Good luck to all the others.

" ..... a glorified King Air, which happens to be a glorified Duchess .. "

Not really so! The King Air predates the Duchess.

B1900 = glorified King Air = glorified Queen Air = glorified Twin Bonanza = glorified Bonanza

and everyone knows Bonanzas rock!

Mai Mai

Nah I wasn't quoting from management, was quoting from guys who were at the interview. Also it is obvious that there is a lot of truth in all these comments, I've experienced it myself along with many others. Also these comments from the training captains were made on the 4th or 5th day of the interview process when they went for a ride in the B1900, the guys said that the rest of the week went OK, but the comments after the flight check were pretty demoralising.

Imagine after arranging a weeks leave and lots of study, flying approaches, practicing in the sim etc, and having passed several IFR renewals in the past, being told that "your the worst we've seen and none of you deserve to hold an instrument rating" or another one I heard from another interviewee "you guys are just like DC generators, and if your no good we'll throw you out and get another one from the hangar"

My first experience with bad attitudes from Eagle or "the unattended airfield police" as we used to call them, was being bullied over the radio on more than one occasion whilst flying a light twin on freight operations, I often wonder if its the same guys who are involved in the interview process?

We have it right!

I know a guy well, who just went through the interview, all the way through the interview. It was the last day that my monkey company went unprofessional. It was the part where they got ripped apart in the debrief and told 'none of them deserved an instrument rating' thats what we are talking about here . And I know Split Flap too, and he's a Good . Which tells me that you must be a .

Now that's beautiful!! Know the guy too and he definately is a Good !! He can come over and spew off my deck any time!

mai mai 'dark that he didn't get into eagle when it was his turn'

You're wrong there.. he thinks eagle are such a bunch of he didn't even apply... and that was back when this guy was struggling at GA. Just wished I had done the same, turned Eagle interview down twice but after a down turn at the time had to take it when they called a third time, and no I didn't get in, no great loss other than the week off work and the coin it cost me. (travel, suit, hotel and stuff) Bitter.. No, best thing that happened to me. The biggest prick prize at the interview would have had to have gone to that management muppet that doesn't even hold an ATPL. Laugh inside whenever I see those interviewers! At least Eagle gave me that.

I heard one of the FO's that was doing his check recently passed fine then was asked if he had any questions, apparently the FO then pulled out a list that he had written up about one of the captains he was flying with about not obeying the SOP's and stuff like that to dob the captain in!! Put that FO straight on the interview panel! Sounds exactly the kind of Eagle need!

Maybe he doesn't like them because of the interview process, maybe because of the 'unattended airfield police' maybe because they pay their pilots so pathetically and then base them in the butt sh#t holes of New Zealand, maybe because they hold their pilots back from moving to decent companies, maybe because he's seen some of their pilots in the crew room and been ignored time and time again, maybe because their planes are a piece of sh#t, maybe because they intruded on a perfectly good operator, made them do checks under eagle's checking rules and failed all their pilots, maybe he didn't apply because he can't be flying six sectors a day with no autopilot, maybe he likes to enjoy a coffee while flyin, or maybe it's just because he didn't want to stand out in the rain!

mai mai enjoy your time at eagle, sounds like you could be there a while.

Rumour has it that some of the guys have been sent a letter offering a re-run of the flight test.... Bit of a turnaround, good on Eagle if they want to mend their ways.

What was that about spewing off off decks...

I dont drink....

Since no replies to this thought I'd post again. Any truth to it?
