Question Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating ?Where to do in Australia

Hey Everyone,

Can anyone tell me where the best place for me to do my Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating in Australia ?metropolitan or regional.

I am completing my CPL and would like people's thoughts on what school people think has the best quality, price, people, simulators, aircraft, etc for a MECIR.

I have been recommended Johnston Aviation Services in Port Macquarie, but I see they also call themselves CoastJet (www.coastjet.com.au).

Any thoughts?

Do a search for this topic on D&G; its been covered ad nauseum.

I can personally recommend Rick Wedgewood at Avalon Air Services at Caboolture, or Johnsons at PM.

If you are in Melbourne give Tony Smith a call on 0419 154 361 - I have not found anyone better.

Thats correct Swanie. Johnston aviation changed ownership last year and was renamed Coastjet. But for obvious reason's (like who the hell is coastjet?) they still operate under Johnston's aviation also. everything is the same apparently with jamie johnston still running the place.

Ad-Astral Perth out of the International Airport. Will set you back about 12K and its on a Duchess. Really good instructors with lots of experience.

I've heard excellent things about Johnstons (Coastal) in Port Maquarie
and Ad Astral in perth where many of my mates have gone.
I'm also in the hunt for an excellent MECIR school. I've also been looking at Air South operating out of Adelaide. Does anybody have any reviews on them?
