Formating Cessnas

Agggh very nice! Would be better with two C185's

Possibly the best way to get a large group of meat bombs in the same part of the sky.

Not sur why you think it's "Not very Smart". Perfectly normal and safe procedure if you have two qualified and suitably trained pilots.

One hopes for their sakes that they do have the appropriate qualifications as the rego on the closest 'van can be clearly read and it is Australian.

I am sure they do I know 2 pilots that fly those caravans and have formation ratings.
Here is another view of a different takeoff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjDRt...elated&search=

It looks quite good to me. I am sure it only looks stupid to you zac21 as you don’t know anything about formation flying, which is obvious by your comment.

Hey zac21, I think there is a bit of tall poppy syndrome going on here. I know for a fact that at least one of the pilots is an australian national aerobatic champion (and yes, more than suitably qualified). I dont know that the other pilot is qualified, but I also dont know that he/she isnt. Can we perhaps work on the assumption that the right people hold the right qualifications unless proven otherwise?

zac,

You've impugned these pilots reputations by sayng there actions are "Not very smart".

It has now been pointed out to you that at least one of them was suitably qualified to perform a formation take-off (or are you "Way above" knowing such a qualification exists?) and that there is no good reason to assume the other wasn't as well.

Modesty forbids me suggesting an Australian Aerobatic tittle means you are a super pilot, but let's say it means you probably know your way around a stick and rudder.

Rather than try and weasel out of it, I suggest you realize that just because something is beyond your skills and qualifications, it doesn't make it "Not Smart" for someone else to do it, and apologise

Looks like a perfectly well flown formation take off.

hope zac doesn't go to a national aeroclub competition as he will be shocked with all the wonderful formation flying seen there.

I wonder if he is still flying a c210...or flying at all...or if the Feds got him before he killed himself...I am always up for a bit of fun but that guy is completely out of control.

It is not even the rolls that bother me so much as the rest of it

Come on Bloggsie the floating dog one was funny...and he seemed to like it...I am sorta sure my old village cargo 'boi' did too back in PNG Twotter days

Jeez, I could have fitted a third caravan in between those two !!

Nice takeoff, looks plenty safe to me

And yes, I'm plenty formation endorsed.
