Decisions Decisions

I have recently found out that I am not 100% convict. I am a low time bug squasher instructor and have not completed a MECIR.

The opportunities for airline work in Australia seem to be growing and work in Europe seems fairly buoyant.

My question is if you were in my position would you fork out the cash for a JAA conversion or do the 5 year apprenticeship in GA?

5 -10 years in GA, then MAYBE a start in J* or VB if your lucky?

Or save the gamble, go to europe and by 500 hrs you'll either be in the rh seat of a 737 or in the left of something smaller.

While QF and AN were as they were, there was a real choice and incentive to fly in oz. That has changed forever and so have the choices.

Go have a career my man...........

Ta mate... have been hearing the stories of 'mass airline pilot shortages in Aus' but wasn't sure if it was going to measure up with the possibilities in Europe
