He might be the "STIG",
..... and learned to fly in a "MIG" or some other "Top Gear".
Maybe that's why there is an airfield in Siberia named after him!

Ah yes... I too have heard of this renegade pilot.
Rumour has it that sometimes he refuels here in the dead of night gliding in with the mixture at idle cut-off to prevent detection only with a prevailing westerly wind.
Some say this pilot sleeps facing magnetic north... and that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals.
Others say that he is terrified of ducks and flies only at night because of his photosensitive left albino eye, and most amazing of all, does not give any radio calls to avoid landing fees.
They say that the only indication of his passing is the display on the CARNET bowser blinking 13 continually and that only a full power shutdown for no less than 13 minutes can reset it.
He sure sounds like a bad bastard.
