Tinny; That reminded me of the Frederick Forsyth book The Shepherd.

Yes Wanderin Dave,

He might be the "STIG",
..... and learned to fly in a "MIG" or some other "Top Gear".

Maybe that's why there is an airfield in Siberia named after him!
