IFR Balloon... hmmm....

Those of you that read the press would have seen the Balloons in Melbourne that made the unscheduled landing last week due to "nil wind." Was it "nil wind" or perhaps another reason... you decide!

I've seen them take off in fog (50 metres vis) out in the Yarra Valley. Must have been a good view for the punters.

IFR balloon. NDB approaches tricky, but I'm sure a few legends out there who could pull it off.

You haven't lived until you've flown the old Adelaide 05 NDB approach in a balloon.
