Are you refering to the change in roster letters that all the pilots of (both fleets) have received over the last week or so?

It's asking the pilots to have their credit card numbers handy when they request a start......

I have heard alot of strange goings on there, similar to Apr 04 when creditors moved in. I do know they are only operating 2 out of the 4 J41's and of the 2 they aren't operating, one is in WB and the other is in bits at NS. The 2 J31's are problematic with 1 always seeming to be out of the air - gotta be hurting the engineering budget?
The guys and girls on the shop floor seem pretty anxious about what is going on but nobody is speaking - just a whole bunch on rumours....I hope it all works out for them

So what are those letters about then S2K4???

I know current pilots warning off their mates about joining OP, gearbox overhauls for the J41 14mths overdue, props not being replaced that when they get to certain length they are pax restricted due less performance for s/e ops?

is the water lapping over the side rails? is the fat lady warming up with her scales??

Hey Six,

Weather here is all good, blue dome days and mild temps. When you due back? Off to CNS for R&R on Tuesday, back following Monday. Chuck us a line to the inbox or PM about your asian adventures and any news. Still haven't heard about the "list", got another source trying to scope it for me.

Have fun in the Oriental City.

S2K

PS ****e stirring...... what ****e stirring?????

Air Nat been getting a few CV's and visits by QO people wanting to get out, we've been getting a few too of late.

Not looking too positive from the sounds of things.

So what you boys are saying is that Origin is having money issues???? Where have you boys been for the last few years? Just to bring you guys who are a little behind up to speed, NASA landed a man on the moon, somebody shot JR, the Berlin wall came down and Origin pacific is not exactly rolling in cash.

The props have been restricted for the last 3 years, as for the gear boxes divide whatever your heard by 4. Anything that is time ex will be on extension from the Fed's, they keep a close eye on the place. If airways had half as many controllers as they do accountants we'd be sweet.
You would be kidding yourself if you said Origin was'nt in some trouble, they have'nt been out of it in 4 years. For the good of the industry in general I hope it keeps on ticking along. Anybody got anything NEW to report?

Not trying to put the boot in here....bought a ticket from Wgtn-Nelson a fortnight ago...$60 kiwi...good for me,but the bean counters are trying to squeeze blood from the kumara on that one....with only a half-full flight...tough to make money and stay operational with those loads and ticket prices.

There has been a lot of talk about overseas V,s Kiwis and Oz,s plight in various posts on this site, and to make it an "us"and "them" agenda is wrong. From the MT Cook sagarso,Origin and others, the bottom line is we are all in this together and the problems these smaller companys have are global, they are not isolated.....and the majors are in the same predicament!!

I can guarantee you this,if Origin came up with a cost saving plan, that Delta or Quantus could USE,....they would,!!!...no barriers here, economics is economics....Nelson to JFK...

Take a look at the quarterly earnings as of late,a lot of profit being reported by the bigger airlines...loads are up...but one of the biggest factors....the buggars are finally making the travelling public pay .....pay a reasonable price for those seats....yeah I know,Ican hear it now....there are a lot of other factors involved.....like Mt Cook ,I wish our mates at Origin all the best...
