Marriage of Rex, Mackair and Sunshine Express.........would it work?

Just a little brainstorming session with some mates, well actaully more beer drinking than thinking and the topic of a marriage between Rex, Mackair and sunshine express. Would give a fleet of 60 something aircraft and a huge route network and economies of scale etc etc....with hubs all over the eastern seaboard of Oz.

just wonder would it be viable, would it work.

Could this be the Qld feeder for DJ doing the job Flight West did for Ansett? SunX also used to be an Ansett affiliate but has become Sunstate's baby brother since John Anderson decided to get rid of Ansett. If SunX are ever to be anything bigger than a Metro also ran they need something like this. ****** is in the same boat and Rex need to get into Qld. It all seems to fit.

Yes..I work for Mackair....the blocking of the real name was to do with some name throwing between a few merry men not so long ago. But Rex+Mackair+SunX would be a hugh affiliate...

Figured afterwards a block on ***** must be in place.

The question here might be do DJ want feeder airlines? They seem to be after on traffic from Emirates and perhaps Singapore but as far as my knowledge goes they have no interest in the next step down in the food chain. If you live in Bundaberg how do you catch a DJ flight to Melbourne?
