Flight Simulator Software

Hello All,

I'm currently looking to buy an airbus A320 add-on for FS2004. So far i've come across 3 products;
1) Fly the Airbus Fleet by Abacus
2) A320 Pilot in Command 2004 by Aerosoft Germany
3) Airbus - Holiday Destinations by Aerosoft Germany

I already own the A320 Pilot in Command software by Wilco publishing. However, it was quite frustrating getting it to work because that particular software had lots of bugs and unresolved issues. For example, I'm still unable to turn the knobs to tune the radios and nav-aids.

Hence why i'm looking for a new simulator software. The features i am particularly interested on are the 2D cockpit views and compatibility with FS2004. So if anyone out there has used these products or know about them, I would much appreciate any feedback (both good and bad) you might have.

Thanks,

Try the enthusiasts forum but for what it's worth, I did once play with the A320 Professional and it was excellent. It's not made by justflight but you can buy it from them at www.justflight.com

Flight sim

How do you find the stability of the models in the MS FS?..... I seem to notice that the VSI goes up and down all the time if flying by hand and it's a bit hard to maintain a level flight, turns or control the climb and descent. It's so unstable.
Do you guys notice this or is it just me ?

Apparently, one guy said to me that the King Air model in aeroworx seems to be a lot better and more stable to use in practicing for instrument approaches. Haven't tried it though.

Stability

Stability is a real problem, I guess if you can fly that you can fly anything, however it does take away time from the exercise you are trying to practise. Or is this just old software? If anybody knows of software which makes the handling more realistic i would love to know about it..

MS FS Stability

D6 and 160Knots:

I'm with you. FS stability is hopeless in the vertical plane. I don't even bother using it any more. I use ASA's "On Top" program which is a bit more stable thus allowing you to concentrate on the IFR procedures. Graphics not as good as FS unfortunately.

Have any of you used X-Plane? I find it is excellent, but is very US oriented scenery wise. However, if you're using it for IFR then that won't be a problem.

The best

Gidday H1tman.
Precision manuals have announced that they are to produce an airbus simulator program. They currently have a few B1900, B747-400 Pax and F versions. Their programs use FS2004 as the basic engine. The reproductions are superb and they pride themselves on accuracy. I have the B747 and it is brilliant. Full working FMC, TCAS its all there.
Take a look at www.precisionmanuals.com (have a look at the forum section too). It might be worth waiting for.
