Thanks Woomera
I just thought there were Dorniers here in Oz as I saw an ad in the afap website a few weeks ago mentioning of an upgrade to a dornier.
Thanks anyway

howdy lads - I am specifically looking for the DO 228-212 with a
-10 engines or a -5 at least that are for lease. Anyone who has info on this model I would appreciate it if you can PM to me.
If I can get this, I might be able to give some work to low-time CPLs to advance their careers. Just want to do something good for the newbies and wannabes if they are willing to go overseas for some over-water ops.
Don't ask me for the specifics yet. It's still in the drawing board.
Thanks

Ahh PNG...once had a very nice flight from Nadzab to Hagen in one of these beasties.
Jet A_OK, presuming that we are talking of the same operator, I thought that the major problem was the leases were in USD and the ar$e fell out of the kina? OzExpat...you're input?
I mean prior to them getting rid of them, hadn't they been successfully operating them for some years?
Does InterIsland Air in US Samoa still operate them?

Nice shots from airliners.net Vmo248
That's exactly what I've had in mind........... short field ops
Do228 is capable of STOL.
The one from US Samoa I believe have crashed. They were only operating one of them.
The Taiwan planes are over-priced, so we are looking at the one from the Philippines but I am still looking for another one.

Any of you fly boys and girls selling one ?
