QF salaries

Hey,

Its my dream to fly with Qantas, preferably 737s or A330s so I only fly domestic and I wont be away as much. I was just wondering what the "typical" QF salaries are. Thanks.

Believe me kid, after you marry you'll want to be away a lot.

The salary will always be just a little bit less than you need to be happy and content.

but surely it's about setting up an international network? I thought that was the whole point of international flying...

S/O- $60-130K depending on aircraft type and years of service (the 130 figure would be a six or seven year S/O on the 744)

F/O $90-200K. Lower number for a 2-4 year F/O on the 767. Higher number for a 10-15 year F/O on the B744.

Capt- $220K-$280(ish) (767 at the bottom end and 744 at the top end).

Those figures are (very!) ball park and may not be current but you get the picture. You can acutally do a search for the award on the net. It should have the current pay rates. Work on about 1100 credit hours pay per annum. Anything above that is overtime, allowances, etc. Also, do a search back through PPRUNE as it may have some answers too.

Hope that helps.

Do Qantas recruit type rated guys onto the 767? I realise it would still be S/O if they did.

QF will employ anyone as a S/O who meets their requirements and meets their needs for projected pilot training.

Simple as that!!

Max, don't wish that on anyone. Any fleet is good fun but if it were me, I'd be hoping to try something 'different'!

MAX,

Being type rated on the 767 won't necessarily mean you get posted there as an S/O - or give you any preference for promotion to the 767 as F/O. (Qantas isn't recruiting S/Os onto the 767 anymore).

So, basically, the 767 rating will mean nothing!
