Drivers?
If we want management and the public to accept that this business takes a long time to master and is a profession rather than a job, should we be calling ourselves "drivers"? I think we should use less slang. After all, I would not like a third party to start describing us in such terms.
Too sensitive?

Jacksprat - yeah just a little too sensitive mate. Its neiter a job or a profession, its an adventure. From experience with airline managment, calling pilots "drivers" would be politie. hense why we call them pencil pushers, bean-counters and other more inpolitie terms.

Luke SkyToddler, the BMI EMB145 Capts wouldn't have been ex Saab 340 with BM would they? Despatched quite a few Kiwi's that flew at BM but haven't seen any of them back down here yet. I know a few went from the 340 to the 145. Can't quite see what the draw of EMA is though?
