Smile Posting from the Airservices network

For most of the year I've been unable to post, edit or send pm, but I still try from time to time. This morning it WORKED

If PPRUNE has circumvented ASA censorship, WELL DONE If ASA is being nice, erm... Guess I'll just stop there.

I think that there is a network issue. I posted a while ago as well that it did not work but it has for me and others. I find that if you close internet explorer and reopen it and go to pprune first and then post it works. If you browse elsewhere or leave the window open for extended periods it wont post. Web browsers can time out when not receiving information.

Hehe yeh and it was 39 degrees 2 days ago. Played a game of Aussie rules footy yesterday and thankfully was only 30 degrees. Anyway bring on Summer when all the W.A.N.K.E.R's (Wife's Away No Kids Eating Rubbish) can go out and have a good time.

Brissie,

25 degress C, blue skies with some fair weather cu, light northerly seabreeze.

Surf down the coast is 1-11/2 metres and glassy, long weekend coming up.

Why exactly are you guys in the Middle East??

BTW, I try not to post at work. The system is actually slower than my cable connection at home, plus, call me paranoid, but I'm sure our IT section can monitor our activity on the net.

Ummm why are we here. Last 6 months, every day 25-30 degrees blue skies every day. Sitting on the beach or by the pool drinking our beers we bought with our income tax free money, and then... well lots of reasons really. Thats why I think 6 out of the last 9 controllers to come here have been care of good old AirServices. But as I always say, each to their own, cheers.

But you have to work with Costanza. That must negate all of the plusses and then some

Yeh look surf here is non existent (unless you go to Wild Wadi the big waterpark in Dubai and ride the wave making machines there!), but hey only a few hours to Sri Lanka and some great surf and beaches there. Great diving here though.

And Tobzalp, dunno what it is about Costanza, must be his animal magnetism, but he came and half of ASA followed. It's like an Ex Aussie ATC convention here these days. The Sth Africans are not impressed!! AirServices must be doing something right to be driving away so many employees (right for SERCO anyway).

ANSA,

I've heard a lot about the Middle East from Brent Cash and Frank Ritt. some of it good, some of it not so good.

Looks like Mick B. is enjoying it though, and you may receive another of my collegues very soon. He's certainly keen. He's just come back from visiting Mick, and I think he's gonna get that application in.

What is AsA doing so right? Only gotta look at the last EBA.

Hasta la vista.

PS. Just had a surf this morn at Main Beach Southport. 1m and glassy. Babes on the beach, and cino at Tedder Ave. Ahh - heaven.

Yeh DP like anywhere there is good and bad. Each to their own, and I do miss things about Oz. But on the whole, prefer the work here, nightlife is great, and the women are easy I would never try and talk someone into coming here as it has to be something you are really committed to doing for your own personal reasons, and for me the last EBA debacle was a big part of my reason for coming. The reason for staying has been as I said the work and the lifestyle (and the tax free all inclusive package!). Say G'day to Brent from me (just tell him I'm the guy who bought his ironing board and cutlery when he left, he'll know who I am. Still haven't got a new cover for that ironing board!!)

cheers.
