AIR WAKATIPU vs. BAY FLIGHT INTERNAIONAL
Dear all, thank you for those who contribute their valuable comments for my flying school's research (PPL Training) in the previous message. For the time being, I have narrowed down my choice between two reputable flying schools:
1. Air Wakatipu
2. Bay Flight International
To my understanding after the research, both institutions possess the high reputation and prestige in term of teaching quality, environment and resources. Therefore, it creates the dilemma for me on how to choose in between.
If you were me, how would you opt? (I don't mind whether my training is conducted in North Island or South Island).
Thank you.

Depends
It really depends on a few other factors, such as, what time of the year are you planning on doing your ppl? As Air Wakatipu is based out of Queenstown, which is quite possibly one of the most stunning places in NZ, and that is saying alot as there are alot of places that could rightfully lay claim to that title, it is however in the mountains. So if you are planning on doing it over winter, the weather could play havoc with your training. On the other hand, the scenery and flying experience would be fantastic and invaluable. The weather in the Bay of Plenty, (Bay Flight) over winter is generally stable, allowing you to do your flying training without too much disruption.
If you are looking at doing it over the summer months, then Bay flight in Tauranga is also a great spot, with a great beach and the stunning scenery that goes with it! Of course, that could also play havoc with your training!! I have not flown with either of these 2 operators, so can't personally comment on them, however, I have heard good things about both of them, so I don't think you will go wrong with either choice. Whichever you choose, enjoy NZ and your training and good luck with your ppl.

If you have come to the cross roads and both ways look good JUST.....................................................Fli p a coin Heads, Bay flight and tails Wakatipu.
Good luck, They are both very good operations.
P.S. A deciding factor may be your age. Bay Flight has a very young team of students so if you are a bit older and can't stand the young ones it may not be the best place to do a PPL.
PPS I'm not knocking young students its just some older people may get a bit short tempered with a lot of 18-20 year olds around.

Air Wakatipu is a great place to learn to fly, I highly reccommend it.
Just disagree slightly with Nosey, winter is probably the best time to fly at Queenstown. There are more clear calm days than during summer.
You can't beat a flight into Milford Sound.
