I will open the forum for people to discuss the best place in Melbourne to do an instructors rating... Leave job prospects on completion out as there are none...

Yes, the CFI of the organisation you mentioned does set high standards.
Like the time he took a big heavy twin around an aircraft ahead of him on the taxiway. The aircraft in front was turning left and our CFI knowingly went left and around him, with little clearance and no comms. The guy in front had to break heavily to avoid creating a short wing twin.
Observed, not hearsay.

I did an instructor rating with TVSA and was very happy with their service, knowledge of the industry and value for money. Rating cost $9k and was completed in approx. seven weeks. Their standards are very high and are well known throughout the industry. I think that you would do well to go in to a few schools and talk to their CFI's about the instructor rating that they offer and choose the best one for you. Beware of those who promise you a job. Plenty of Moorabbin schools do. Don't be sucked in.

So, CJ, you are a mind reader now ("knowingly cut off another aircraft") - were you on board the twin? Can you really read the CFI's mind? I think not - no comms? -how would you know? -
Before you set about throwing around accusations, have you taken the time to speak to CFI about this instance, or are you too gutless to front up for a frank and open discussion?
