Old Age Syndrome
Hi all,
I am a late starter in aviation. I'm in my mid 30's with 2500 TT, 1950 multi, 1200 turbine, 1090 multi command, hold CASA, JAA and FAA ATPL, have 2 uni degrees with strong management experience and skill, certainly meet the requirements.
However I too got rejected by QF due to not being competitive enough to those on file.
As far as I see, I agree age do have a great emphasis in the selection process by QF.
Pitty, QF have just pass over a great pilot and a excellent manager. Now I will go for CX and SQ
Good luck all.
Cheers!

Hang tough
Age versus experience is not relevant.
Average ages have been higher, average experience lower (noted the Ansett pilots changed this ) on most courses in the recent past.
Stick with it guys!
