Time to get serious, peoples.
To mark the occasion, there will be a limited number of PPRuNe Aussie Gold Coast Bash souvenier T-shirts available (I hope) - but to qualify, you'll need to send me (Via PM...or [email protected]) your PPRuNe handle and size (S,M,L,XL,XXL), so that I can let you know the (no profit) cost. Payment can be by cheque, Money/postal Order, or direct credit only - sorry, no credit cards!
From the responses so far, it looks like THIS one is going to be the "Mother of All Bashes"
- OR maybe the Mother of All Headaches, the day after!!

Went to Hard Rock Cafe from 4pm-5pm today as per your

Maybe I'm tired, or maybe I'm the only person really thinking straight, but wouldn't it pay to swap phone numbers when planning on attending a get together like this?
We were unable to make it this weekend (personal reasons), and I advised KM such, both via pm and telephone call!!
It was all quite simple really
1 thing I try to remember, is that when you're dealing with people in this industry, rarely do the best laid plans work, and you do need to be open to change.
And then there are just those instances when life simply gets in the way of a good time
Wirra, I'm not having a dig at you personally, not by a long shot, but as you know, I speak from experience - take last years efforts at the Brekky Creek pub for 1....if only we had taken the time to do some number swapping, then the attendance would have been double as it turns out.
It certainly would save any possible disappointment such as the one you endured.
If it matters any, both Disco Stu and I are going to be on the Gold Coast next weekend, and will be catching up with fellow PPRuNers and Jetblasters'. I believe KM will be 1 of those in attendance!
Interested parties should pm me for further details.

Not a problem, I did not find this thread till yesterday (Sat)
morning, and suspected that a change of plan had happened,
other commitments next weekend so unfortunatly will have
to take a rain check.

Many apologies, it seems your pm to me slipped through the radar, so-to-speak!
Given I've not heard from the Kap (I do know he's out of the country at present), I can only imagine that something came up that stopped him from being able to keep to the schedule.
Please keep this in mind!

Sorry about that Wirraway - the night before at the Lone Star Steakhouse was fun, with about 15 turning up (pics to be posted after returning to the Land of the Rising Sun), however we all felt that the 4 o'clock turn up was too early for the HRC, and decided to make it from 6pm on.
Great to catch up with ya, GoGirl....looking as stunning as ever. Our eloquent, in-depth, meaningful conversations had me thinking about the real meaning of Life for hours later!
(The well behaved) Disco Stu is truly an amazing guy - as I quipped to Him, "You're like God - able to create something from nothing."
Good on ya Stu, you deserve to get ahead and are reaping the fruits of your labour, instead of crying in your beer and doing nothing!
