Brian Edwards, who flew his Tiger Moth, Matilda, from England to Perth, has dies, aged 62, after a battle with Leukaemia.

In 1990, Brian Edwards flew his little yellow plane from Bindook to Perth, over 33 legs and taking six weeks. He raised almost $40,000 for Legacy, the charity which looks after RAAF children whose fathers paid the ultimate price.

He leaves a widow, Jenny, and three children, Michael, Christopher and Jenny.
