May FAA licenced pilots fly EASA registered aircraft in the US?

Just a quick question: Is it allowed for an FAA licenced pilot to fly and test a EASA registered aircraft in the US. There is presently still a lot of EASA registred aircraft stored in the US, so Im just wondering if they need EASA pilots to test fly them and bring them back home, or if that can be done by FAA pilots?

An FAA certified pilot may operate a US registered aircraft anywhere, an any foreign registered aircraft in the US. To ferry an aircraft outside of the US would generally require the licence to match the Reg, but aircraft can be re-registered temporarily for delivery, and waivers are available for most things.
