Pleasure to work in Denmark
Hello
I know this may be off-topic but i just wanted to show you that even in bad times some people can enjoy the work they do.
I noticed there was a Nordic Forum, hence post. I have been working in aviation for 6 years in the UK. I recently transferred to EKCH to work for a large ground handling company(SA).
I would like to congratulate the Danish people on there professionalism and there attitude to aviation. I worked 3 stations in the UK and worked with all sorts of people from pilots to cleaners and I have never came across such great people.
What I think is great about Danish aviation is, You are human whatever you do and you are respected for what you do by everyone! Something that doesn't happen in the UK!
I have a love for aviation, flying and learning new things and working in Denmark fuels my passion's.
I am also a semi-professional photographer in my spare time, I combine that with aviation as much as I can. Take a look at some EKCH photographs if you wish.
www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then search for Europix
Thank You Denmark

While the Danish taxes are high the wages are paid higher that they would be in the UK. It works out just about the same.
Of course there are pro's and con's for every country. So far the Danish way of living is better than the one i was accustomed to in the UK.
You guys have the finest transport system i have ever seen, you also have the greatest undamaged roads i have seen. Denmark may beef of high taxes but maybe its worth it?
At the end of the day money's not everything! Living a healthy and happy life is..

Fcuking A mate!
Nobody cheers when paying their taxes, but in some parts of the world you can see that at least some of it is spent wisely. Not painting a rosy picture of Denmark, place has it's faults as all do, but I'd rather be paying a high tax and have a society that works (Scandinavia in general) than pay sod all and see the results (US and UK spring to mind). Now I expatted out of DK couple of years ago, but still love the place. Is there any place finer than Nyhavn in the summer, cold beer in hand and massive numbers of babes wherever your eyes wander?
Hope you enjoy CPH and Denmark, I'm flying up there tomorrow on business, meet for a beer at the Air Pub tomorrow (friday) night?

Cabbot couldn't agree more with ya!
Had a very early schedule this week ( wake up at 0420 every day
) and nite stopped in Nice, Barcelona and CPH. Try getting a meal b4 1900 hrs anywhere south and you get laughed out of the restaurants.
Not so in CPH. After doing an afternoon movie at Fisketorvet we got into the Færgekro at Nyhavn around 1600 hrs. They were still serving lunch but didn't mind us sitting down in front of the open fire to wait for dinner to start. Very friendly Danish girls served some excellent beer and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.
Ate a beautifull dinner plus grand dessert at a reasonable price, could smoke my cigarette without the waiters going ape!!!! and had a really nice "evening". In bed by 2000 hrs; once again convinced that "det er deilig å vare crew i Danmark"!
PS: bengt jeg savner han også. Fikk en hyggelig mail fra ham forresten, det går bra med'n!
