Good to see that there won't be any "endless bickering or personal insults" here then FFF!
Forgive me for mentioning this FFF but as there are, at last count, about 60 million 'Poms' compared to ???? Scandinavians/Nordics you should not be surprised if you detect a bit of a 'Pom' slant from time to time.
Last time I was in Denmark I drank Tuborg and ate Danish, for example!!!

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry POM is a slang word that is, currently, applied by Australians to the British, nothing more.
It does have other historic derivations but I won't bore you!

I think the grand scandihoovian total is around 23 million drunks and the odd sober Swede; Suomi and Islandur included.
It is obvious that this site should have a list towards the British, that is only natural given the off-spring of the site. It does, however, tend to get ever so much topheavy and whilst the moderators are apparently busy visting the cold north, endless drivel is allowed on R&N as long as it fulfills on of the two main criteria; Blighty involvement or RyanAir. To an extent, that is to be expected, but lately it's been ridiculous.
If you can read one, or preferably more, of the scandi languages you would have a better understanding of the tone here. Yes, there is bickering and namecalling here too, but not nearly to the extent seen on other forums, where numerous threads are hijacked. For starters, we ain't never had the displeasure of hosting individuals such as 411A or The Guv.
And back to the thread:
I cannot fail but to notice that we are catching up on fjeldaberne (what's that in English?). I have also noted, that whereas Danmark, Sverige and Norge has all been spelled in their native tongue in the above poll, somehow SkyCod failed to apply the same rules to Suomi and Islandur (is that correct?). I wonder why.

Let me set the record straight here.
I think you'll find that is a correct summary of events.
- I banned TowerDog
- He was banned for the reasons PPT has already mentioned
- You have read the initial email he wrote to me
- TD and I have had a 4-5 email to and fro
- I suggested he can return if he can cool the language
- TowerDog informed me that he has had enough of PPRuNe and will not return

I did a quick check and found that ArcticCircle posted an e-mail from TD on Page 6 in the "vote for your fedreland" topic.

Talking about Vikings.
Someone told me that the real vikings were those who left Norway and went to Iceland. They stopped over in the Faeroese Islands, Ireland and England, and the ones who couldn't read the signs stayed and the rest, the literate ones, carried on to Iceland. Lucky me, I hope that's why I'm here and they're not.....
The vikings were not as stupid as one might think, they left the ugly women in England but took the beautiful ones to Iceland. Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.
Well i'm back to eating shark and drinking some brennivin.
