Arrow IFC - Murfreesboro, TN?

Any former IFC pilots out here? Just curious where everyone ended up?
I still live in MBT - started in the Fall of '93; transferred to MTSU.

You can reply in English, svenska eller svengelska…

Finished in 89 with CFIIME. Instructed one year. One year in TACAIR. Was probably shut down when you got there. Many more jobs after, airline for the last decade. Du svensk?

Tacair was around but not for very long when I arrived. Berg was still in charge but later they moved IFC to Oklahoma. Which airline do you work for now? ...still live in the US? Jodå, jag är svensk...

So where are you guys at? Did most IFC'ers go back to their home countries or did they stay in the US? I'm only aware of very few guys who’re still here: one's at Flight Options (I think), one's at Eagle, another guy got out of flying and works in a lab somewhere in New York if I remember correctly. Another guy's in charge of the biology department at one of the universities in Wisconsin. I fly for big brown.

IFC

Howdy! Started october -89, followed IFC to Oklahoma where it quietly got absorbed by Airman Flight School in -95.
My wife started at IFC may -93. We are now living in Sweden, both flying for a living.

Flight training at I.F.C

I did my training there in -82/-83. In this periode there was only a handfull scandinavian students there.
I knew at least 6 norwegians who settled in and around MBT/BNA area. Have lost track over the years. I worked there as FI for 6 months and moved on to a small freight operator contracted to the US Government. Back in Norway in -84. Usual career, floatplanes, DHC-6, F-50. Still on the F-50. Most students I'm aware from that time periode of got flying jobs and succesful careers. Understand Ø. Berg is out of the aviation industry, now residing in Florida.
Best regards, Floats

Yeah he lives somewhere around West Palm Beach. (Or did a few years ago)

4 or 5 of us ex-students had an informal meeting with him at a local watering-hole in Fort Lauderdale back in 2000 or so. At the time he was indeed out of flying, instead importing stuff from Hong Kong or some such thing.

Lost touch ever since, but should be easy to find him on the internet if one starts searching.

Hi ya'll

Funny, I was just thinking about IFC the other day and now with NAIA having problems and their students chatting away I was wondering where everyone from IFC had gone...

I'm Swedish and came over in August 99. Due to the friendly "recruiter" in Sweden I didn't start my course till October 99. Went with the school to Oklahoma and later instructed there for a bit before moving on to another school in the Oklahoma City area (with the other instructors). Stayed in the states for a bit doing corporate then went back to Sweden to convert... ...now in Dubai.

One of my classmates went to SAS. I also know one Swedish guy is flying a Gulfstream 550 in Europe another is flying Navajo for a Swedish operator. A norweigan guy is with Brittania in Sweden (or whatever they're called these days) and his wife (I believe) is with Westair.

Heading over to join the Facebook group now :-)

I believe the person you're describing here is BATM on this board and he replied earlier on this thread. (post # 6)

Unfortunately I can't get him to reply to my PMs so I'm not 100%. I know them both but lost track...

Was that Business Air or PFA?

IFC got kicked out of Murfreesboro by the city council and they then moved to Norman, Oklahoma. At first they worked side by side Business Air and eventually the two schools merged - at least that's what I remember being told...

I went to Business air and remeber Airman being located south of OKC in Norman. Didn't think that there was any relation between the two?
