USav8or: You're probably right. Sorry but I don't have any contact either... I only heard from a friend of a friend of a friend...

thunderball74: I also went to Business Air to teach the "newly started" ICAO course there before later teaching their regular part 61 and 141 courses. As for PFA I think you mean Pinnacle Flight Academy. If so they didn't open until after Business Air was shut down. Do you by chance know what eventually happened to Pinnacle and Jean? I heard there was some money problems...

As for IFC and Oklahoma as I recall it IFC was "bought" by Airman who was after IFC's J1 visa. The two were initially kept separate (except for the aircraft) and we were still doing the IFC ICAO program. Once it became apparent that Airman couldn't train their students on the IFC visa the school was slowly shut down/merged with Airman (which is when we all quit and went to Business Air).

IFC and Business Air never had a working relationship. The only links were that their chief flight instructor when we moved up was ex IFC and all of us left working at IFC also started there. Airman and Business Air were big competitors.

Pinnacle went bankrupt a few years after 9/11. I think Jean got out of the flying business. We must have been at business air around the same time? I met a few people that are still around from then. Dubai - I'll take it that you are with Emirates? I just got based in London with CX. Had a Dubai trip last week. Take care.

Smile IFC and Business Air

The link between IFC and Business Air was a swedish pilot prospect hijacker by the name Kurt H., of whom I am sure you know.
Just a slight correction to USav8or message #19, IFC made a very short pitstop in Smyrna, TN, before moving on to Norman, OK.

Wow, I was there in the spring of '93 as well and remember someone switching to Aviator flight school in Texas? It must have been you then?

Myself - I fly cargo in the US now... Still live in the 'Boro...

Question BATM

Hey BATM - are you getting my emails at all?

In the last couple of months I've replied several times to your email but haven't heard anything back... not sure if you're getting them or not?

Just curious how you and your wife are doing over there in Svedala...

Hello Mīboro!

Went to the school in january 1993, so I probably saw some of you who posted answers here, USav8r and others.

After delivering pizza in and around Laverne, Smyrna area I went to NJ and worked 2 years as instructor.

Got my swedish licences and then worked for an air taxi operator in sweden. Now I am flying turbo propp for a not so very succesful company.

I hope you all are doing ok - and I got a lot of flashbacks including god and bad memories coming back to hit me after reading this thread.
