English recruitment
Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you kind people would be able to tell me if it's possible for a qualified Air Traffic Services Assistant, currently working in the UK, to move to Sweden and take the same job at a major airport there. I am trained in aerodrome and area, although I must reiterate I am an assistant, not a controller. I also hold a met. observer's certificate.
I am hoping to move to Sweden and would like to continue within the air traffic control industry, but am worried that this would be impossible. If any of you would provide any information I'd be really grateful.
Thank you

This is probably a question that fits better in the ATC section of pprune since we`re pretty much a bunch of pilots and gonnabe`s in the Nordic Forum
. But one would think that it should be possible, since English is the aviation language. But for the correct answer I suggest you contact the respective departement in Sweden
.
BTW, Norway is always short of ATCers, so it might be an idea of contacing Avinor as well. www.avinor.no Good luck!
