Why do people always complain about FinnComm Airlines? In Finland there was a time when flying for smaller companies Captain made around 2000€ per month and that was it.
Of Course time has changed.. but one has to remember that the company is PRIVATELY owned, meaning they HAVE to make profit, that is not an option in order to keep things going. And they made profit every single year from the beginning-nowdays that is not very common thing to see around the world. They have to do something right?
And if you dont like the conditions-dont apply! Apply to Finnair, Blue1, SAS etc. get a better life I would think that the last thing they need is pilots who start complaining from the start. Many people are very happy there, most would not change at all.

I presume you worked there? Explain in more detail why they deserve the nickname "Joke"- I am just been curious. But lets keep salary issues out of it, we all know money is not the best in the business. But on the other hand you never make enough money anyway and there is always somebody who makes more, always. So please go ahead

No, I never been employed by them but I sure hear some opinions from folks who are. Therefore I have no personal opinion or experience of Finncomm.
I just mentioned that nobody on this tread was complaining about them, just saying that it was called a joke when FL540 calls them an excellent employer, wonder if he is employed by them?
However, please feel free to set records straight and tell all the good things about them.

What are we arguing here?
Hold your horses guys!
NordicJetSet brought up a simple question, and people here are babling back about the company involved, knowing WHAT excatly!?
Seems that FINpilot is the only one, who's admitting that he has actually been working with the company. Keeping that in mind, all other comments have just merely been second hand rumours and (more or less) bianced opinions.
Remember: judging different companies is just like judging cars. There are people who are totally and completely satisfied with their old Ladas, but there's also some of us, who are not happy with their Mercedes either!
Before applying any company, do your homework and get involved with people WHO KNOW some first hand information. IMHO, It is the only way to make intelligent and thoughtfull decisions.

Hi all!
I've been invited for an interview with finncomm. Is there anything I should keep in mind especially? I understand they do psychometric tests? Is anyone familiar with these tests prepared to give me an insight into them?
And whats all this mumbo about finncomm being a bad employer? I haven't yet had my first airline job so I've got nothing to compare them to, should I be accepted for the job.
This is rather urgent, please give me your views ASAP!
best regards/ LnS

Finncomm as a company could potentially be a very good employer, a perfect start on the career, if it wasn't for the ridiculous management made up of old car sales men... Now it's more like a flying club with big airplanes.
I cannot consider a company, which is in the practice of firing and essentially freezing out people who stand up for their legal rights, as a serious employer. Not to say that isn't great to get a type rating for an airline class aircraft, but after all this is just a job...
