Latest rumour is that the LT has not approved the SASBraathens AOC application and that SAS now has withdrawn it's AOC application.

The SAS/SC integration is to become official at 00.01 the 20. September 2004, and LT/STK has approved this.

If the rumours are true, it now seems that BUSK is dead. How long will we continue with two Jet-operators in Norway.

Fokker-Jock,

Hey, nice roumour!

Not much in it though.
The AOC is already approved from LT. SASBraathens is a reality 20.9.04. All groups except flight crew are integrated. Pilots still not ready , but good progress has been reported. AOC will be activated when pilot unions have reached an agreement.

You`re right BUSK is dead.
That is history.
New company is SASBraathens.

So 2 jet operations until late October?

How about you?

Let's hope you are right!

However I can't find SASBraathens AOC in the LT's AOC register ? Too early maybe ?

I believe SASBraathens will remain a commercial company only and that we will have two operators until early next year. What happends after that remains to be seen, but the outcome remains in the hands of the two unions. As of now there is no backing from the SK-pilot union, and it sure doesn't seem to be by BU-pilot union, so I guess we're stuck until someone loosens up

The rumour however, came from (Where I heard it) a unionist Maybe it was wishful thinking...

Btw: Are you sure you are not talking about LT's approval of the modified SK-AOC including F50 and DHC8 operation ? It has been approved and will be in force from 00.01 20. Sep. We got our A/C-documents changed this morning confirming just that!

Any thoughts on why Knut Solberg left so abruptly. ( don´t give me the " I want more time for the family ....stuff" )

Was it simply because the deal between the pilot groups didn´t come through first time around??

Or did someone more senior ( Jansen, Lindegård or even Solberg himself) realise that Solberg had promised BU pilots more than what was realistic??

Your thoughts please.

Your last three lines seems to be in the realistic neighbourhood although I don't know that for a fact...

Well, I guess it's quite common in mergers, that the CEO from one of the "old companies", that loses the battle of becoming the new CEO, doesn't stick around very long, as he doesn't like to be second-in-command.

The reason Solberg has offered to the newspapers seems to be a very poor excuse to abandon ship due to being offered the #2 position in the management, at least in my opinion.

Interesting to see, how this situation develops in the months to come....

Bailing out after loosing the battle for the no 1. position is common practice I know. I just thought the timing odd, since the merger isn´t finalised yet. You know, the company is only a papercompany so far, with crew not integrated yet and bla bla bla.
What I mean is, why didn´t he stick around until everything was in place, and then bow out gracefully, job well done?

In my opinion a very poor choice indeed. "Scanor" is easily confused with "Scandinavian" and "Spanair", and gives no feeling of identity for neither ex-BU nor ex-SK pilots.

Another example of cowardly mismanagement from our hopelessly incompetent administration (May they be stuck on the last row in tourist class in a Thai B747 for all eternity).

I know. And may they be joined by the controllers in Oslo CTL.

(Just got home from an 18-hr duty pass in total chaos)

Seems there is a deal. Good! Any BU guys know what it´s about.
All we (SK) know is, that there will be two lists and that SK-SE and SK-DK pilots will have rights to FC positions in SK/BU but that BU pilots won´t have the vice versa. But that they (BU)instead get to keep full seniority in SK-BU
What else?

Allright empati.

Ok for SAS piloter (ingen store forandringer)

Or did I miss something?

Smile Hvornår...?

Tim,

Her sker der bare mere.

Mvh Ramrise
