Swedish PA's Part 3

Having now got the standard PA's, I have recently found myself in situations where I couldn't inform the passengers about diversions, etc. so I'd appreciate if some kind person would help me out again with translating these PA's into Swedish:

DELAYS

Ladies and Gentlemen, from the flight deck once again your captain speaking. I apologise for this delay to our departure, which is due to an air traffic control restriction, meaning we cannot take off before ___ local time. We should be starting the engines in around ___ minutes from now. This delay is beyond our control and we will endeavour to make up as much time as possible en route. Thank you.

Ladies and Gentlemen, from the flight deck once again your captain speaking. I apologise for this delay to our departure, I am afraid that one of the passengers checked in for this flight has gone missing between check-in and the boarding gate. As this passenger has checked bags, we are now in the process of locating and removing the bags from the cargo hold in the interest of security. As soon as we have off loaded them we will get under way, so I would ask you to bear with us while we do our best to get on our way as quickly as possible. Thank you.

DIVERSIONS

Ladies and Gentlemen, from the flight deck once again your captain speaking. I regret to inform you that due to a technical problem/medical emergency/severe weather conditions at our destination, ___ airport is now temporarily closed, meaning that we will have to divert the flight to ___, where we should be landing in about ___ minutes from now. Once we are on the ground, we will try to get you to the destination as quickly and conveniently as possible and I will inform you about the details as soon as I can. Once again, I sincerely apologise for this inconvenience which is entirely outside our control, and will get back to you as soon as more information becomes available.

Thanks for your help!!

FlyingIrishman,

Don`t take this wrong mate.

I understand your disire to serve your pax in the best possible way. Doing things to make the pax pleased beyond expectations and really beyond the call of duty always been important to me.

But,

Are you flying for RyanAir?

If that`s an affirmative ,I would advice my colleges reading this thread to leave it be.

The way this company treats it`s people,ie YOU, is a disgrace to our profession. Why should I even consider helping that kind of a competative airliner with such info?

If that`s not the case I might give you some help.

PS. I like to think I`m a nice guy.
But this MOL guy really pi$$es me off.
Know what I mean?

A&A

I don't understand the problem. Almost all scandinavians are fluent in english. And if the old missis on 23B doesn't understand, the bloke on 23A is probably more than happy to explain.

There is no need for an english speaking pilot to learn how to announce in swedish. It would probably just sound silly anyway...

FlyingIrishman, the presumption being that you fly for Ryanair, no translations are forthcoming. Perhaps this is caused by the feeling in many majors that the lo-cos are partly to blame for a serious decline in conditions across the board.
The wish to help a fellow pilot is probably overcome by such sentiments.

Please do not use the translation furnished by Diesel8. It is a funny parody (in Danish!) on recent events, but not something you would want to use on the PA.

If you wanted Norwegian I could help you, but alas my Swedish isn't good enough.

Flapsforty PA translated in to English:

Sit down, shut up, do not bother the crew, and face the front. Or else I will unleash the Valkyries

Hi FlyingIrishman,

If you ever in DUB, drop me a PM. Could write something for you that would probably work (and try teaching you how to pronounce it ).

Brgds,

FR or no FR, kudos for wanting to go that extra mile for your pax!

But if you don't know how to translate this yourself, do you think you would be able to pronounce a translation written in Swedish it in a way that would make any sense? You need someone to write a phonetic translation!

Or hey, you could have a swede record it on tape for you , and you could play that back over the pa!

Angel

I'm sure that FlyingIrishman is a decent enough bloke, who is trying his best to give the great unwashed a good experience.

However, he is working for an airline who is neither decent, nor trying to give anybody a good experience.

You might think that you are helping a fellow aviator by providing a translation, but you are in fact only helping the scumbag O'Leary with his plans to drag a (once) proud profession into the mud.

You techman must really hate this "new wave" of aviation. Well, their are here to stay and old ones are slowly forced out of business. Unfortunately, I must say. Can't quite understand why people are using them as they seem to charge the same or even more than "flag carriers" after first 50 or so seats are sold. If you like to take a same day departure with Easyjet it will cost you more than BA! But they do offer lot of jobs for pilots....

Making a cabin announcement is rather more than reading what is written in front of you.
If you know enough of the language to read aloud and pronounce correctly what is written, then you're good enough to put one together yourself.

If, of course, you just want to read something in a scandinavian language then by all means use Diesel8's; no-one will understand anyway!
