Hey come on guys. Cut this personal crab. It wont go anywhere and makes people only laugh or get hotblooded. Make another forum for this **** throwing. It wont matter where we are or what kind of things we fly. We are kolleagues and true we are not always friends with each other but still. Some proffesional courtesy. So next time when we answer for a topic think about are you on the top of matter or just moving your lips to say nothing.

To the matter. Thank god lot is happenig in the area. It is sad to see the 747.s standing in "cold" but as said there is plenty a/c:s on market which are in better shape than those I belive. I think that someone said that Condor "Thomas Cook" is paying lease 4 times as much for same plane than some new comer. Thas is ****ty thing to survive.
But for the starting companies or already excisting ones are making good moves. I think the supperession is folding (even the new bomb attacs in Turkey). So the horizon looks good. Also Finnish aviation is in the verge of biggest changes ever in its history so thats why it is lot in headlines. There used to be only one. Not anymore.

About the Nordik Airlink I think they are in very good pos. AY needs strong axe to slice a cake from SK as the KF (Blue1) is getting stronger in Finland (mostly the growth is from mother company ie taking over routes). And I think they will do good job with it.

Because lack of competition (SAS , Maersk Blue1 Cimber and Braathens one and Finnair and Nordic the another) it is fun to see what kind areal combat is going on with smaller rivalies.
I'm working for one newone and it is hell of a fun to do that. I love my job and I'm happy that there is lot more chances to my colleagues in anywhere (nordic region atleast) than 10 years ago when I stared.

Wink

I'm with you, F28..

No need to get upset by provocative messages - that's not the meaning of this forum.
Though, it is funny how irritated people get when they hear (or read) Finnish; it's just about the same as for us Finns to listen to Hungarian or Lithuanian. It gets to you when you don't have a clue of what they're saying

Anyways, I hope the discussions here become more aviation-related from now on, as you guys say: there is really a lot to talk about what comes to the scandinavian market.

-g-

P.S. A warning: the next lines will be in Finnish... with a translation, though..

Suomenkielinen foorumi on olemassa osoitteessa www.aviation-scandinavia.com/forum . Jospa tilanne vähän rauhoittuu kun saavat suomenkieliset viestit pois häiritsemästä

Translation: A Finnish forum exists at (URL). Maybe the situation calms down as messages written in Finnish disapper from here

Gnd mode,

damn, I vividly remember a horrible article from Helsingin Sanomat re Finnair result (mabye it was in q2). What I found could be much worse: Finnair result

However, q3 turnover fell 4,8% - q3 is the quarter where most european airlines make their best result. Still, its look pretty good. Btw, sas also made a profit in q3 (699 MSEK). Scary however is it that sas equity ratio is at 22% (down from 30 since sep2001) where Finnair is at approx 45%.

Re SAS - Snowflake: Today one of the sasbashing newspapers wrote a horrible piece on a cancelled snowflakeflight. Aparrently the paper hasnt realized what LoCo is about: Sas flight cancelled

Re the Finnair - NAirlink competition: They start a LoCo airline to operate within scandinavia. IMHO the two airlines will at some time be forced to compete, just like BA/GO, Delta/Song and although the paxnumbers in general improve, its usually with the lowfare deriative. Just like SK/KF: Two years ago, Sk had 40 daily flts from Finland. Now theey have 120. But, wait, Blue1 operate 100 of them, SK (the mothership) only 20. I know that NAirlink is not supposed to be feeding AY the same way KF is SK.

Just my two cents worts.

Re mudthrowing: How about if we just aim at the Danes? Nah, not really, F28, I'm with you on this one, lets stop the mudslinging.

State of communication at this forum...

...is unbelievable. It is hard to understand how quickly a reasonable and rational discussion is turned into language political or geopolitical S.H.I.T. I though that this is also a forum for professional fellow aviators but this seems to be same "wannabepilot" BS as everywhere else. I feel sic about this all. Simple questions at first post, only simple answers were needed but no. Scandinavia, Nordic countries what the hell, it can not be so hard these days for people to communicate. If you can not, please keep it to yourself.

Back to orginal...

I have heard that Blue1 is so short of first officers that they have had to cancel flights because of that.

Not mud slinging but I overlooked an earlier post from MD900 because I am a mature adult but oooooh, doesn't he get shirty when some-one shoots one back at him!
What a self-opinionated hypocrit he appears to be.

And as for being 'fellow professional aviators', I wonder. Holding a commercial licence does not make one a professional. Professionalism is an attitude, one which MD900's comments belie.

I don't bother to argue with that karate-kid anymore, it is of no use at all.

About Blue1. It is true that they have cancelled number of flights because lack of pilots in the company. Lot of F/O's were upgraded to Captains and they have desperate shortage of line training captains. They have also made some short-term contracts (like two weeks) with Captains from different companies, to take Malmö Aviation as an example. As a general discussion, I find it very peculiar to hire someone from other company for just two weeks! Company SOP's... It is a bloody mess happening there. But hopefully things are settling down soon. Finland seems to be Nordic hotspot now in this sector.

olholh,
The reason for not being a lot of traffic from Scandinavia or the Nordic countries, a term which also includes Finland, could be that they're all on in another "cockpit" or "forum" or both.
Allow me to believe you`re close to the truth. This forum used to be fresh and juicy. Not so anymore. One reason could be that some posters on this forum can not handle the direct Nordic way of talking/posting. Consequently, you will find them in another "cockpit" of "forum" or both.

Thanx techman. Yep that does the work. Some wine. Maybe good food and some candles. That might do the work and you don't became cynical idiot who dont separate an message from an joke.
But what can you do.
So it seems at the scandiland is a f***ing rollercoaster where some selfminded and small people live.
Doesen't fit the thread!! O no! Onthe conturary. It seems that our happenings revolve to insult other scandinavians to steal our jobs or something else. Yeah right. Let's start mud throwing.
Here is a copterpilot, a dane, some swedish and some finns. Where is norweigians and all the rest.
If this is a good fight for a superiority lets go to movies see planet of apes.
Gives a qlue where we are at the moment.

And I can start a war. Just give me a thread and I'm full of good insults and bad attitude.
