Stolen sector clock
 

A PLEA FROM THE CHAIRMAN Jennifer de Donges OF HOOK MEMORIAL HALL, HOOK NR GOOLE, EAST YORKSHIRE, UK
To the despicable person who took our valuable clock from the wall inside the hall on the night of the 1st February 2017.
This was a clock used in the R.A.F. Operations Room during the 2nd world war.
We are a charity and struggle to keep things afloat and we would be most grateful if you could share this with all you friends, especially Antique dealers as this clock is very rare.

I wonder what happened to the sector clock that was in the explosives licensing office at HQSTC mid '80s.

I suspect it went to Wiltshire when someone retired c16 yrs ago.

The thief's escape meant certainly wound up the staff who had to beef up security in time.

What springs to mind is why didn't he buy a replica and swap them, no one would probably have been any the wiser in the short time and by the time they were aware of it, they wouldn't have any idea as to when it was actually stolen.......

Just as well he didn't as they soon clocked on something was amiss and a couple of pointers had the alarm bells ringing..

However, Justice holds a pendulum of sorts, which tends to regulate this sort of out-of-balance activity.

When they catch the perpetrator, I trust he gets properly clocked.
