Great pictures.

How come no RAF roundels? The only color on these birds was on the tail fin.

The roundels are visible on the side of the fuselage, flanked by the squadron colours, and on the upper surface of the wings...

And, like the rest of the paint scheme, they are "lo-viz".

USN went to all lo-vis decades ago. They're allowing more color now on top of the lo-viz gray. It seems that if opponents are close enough to make out the colored areas of the airplane, they are certainly close enough to see the gray airplane.

I though all Eagle drivers wanted their aircraft dayglo orange, so the MiG pilots could all go to Hell knowing d@mn well who'd killed them?
