FlapJackMuncher 8th Aug 2014 12:57

Looks like she's coming straight in for a landing.
Not doing the detour tour.

gearontheglide 8th Aug 2014 13:00

Looking at the thunderstorms just south of Lincoln heading North, I am not surprised.

Shaft109 8th Aug 2014 13:03

Or indeed welcome to the UK, as I don't think this one has been here before!

CoffmanStarter 8th Aug 2014 13:23

I'll give you that one Dave :ok:

EGAC 8th Aug 2014 14:49

Not so new to the UK...

An Air-Britain member has posted - on the AB-IX private forum - a pic of FM213 (the former identity of C-GVRA) taken by him at Prestwick in May 1957 stating that it was a frequent visitor when escorting Sabres etc across the pond.

NutLoose 8th Aug 2014 15:56

I hate you Coff..... There I was, standing under a tree just outside the Cathedral at Lincoln, thunder rumbling in my ears and rain pouring down around me, reading your message on my phone...

Looks like a direct into Coningsby

langleybaston 8th Aug 2014 16:01

Standing under a tree in a thunderstorm sounds like Deathwish.
Insurance Policy in order and n. o. k. know where it is?
Carry on.

NutLoose 8th Aug 2014 16:09

There was a taller chap near me, thought he would have made a better grounding point :)

langleybaston 8th Aug 2014 16:16

Being vertically challenged, there is ALWAYS a taller chap standing next to me!

CoffmanStarter 8th Aug 2014 16:25

Sorry Nutty

You must have been standing next to my daughter in law and her labradoodle!

NutLoose 8th Aug 2014 17:01

Lol I was, a white one closely cropped.

Genstabler 8th Aug 2014 17:03

Yep, that was her. Small world.

NutLoose 8th Aug 2014 17:07

It is :) I wondered what it was.

The Oberon 8th Aug 2014 19:22

Nutty.
At least you didn't pay to go into the castle, lots did, they were 3 - 4 deep around the walls. Me? I just went through my back gate and walked up the field edge to the Scampton viewpoint, saw nothing and got soaked.

500N 8th Aug 2014 19:28

Coff

That is a lovely sight.

Credit to the photographer.
