Reuters - Washington:
The United States is considering recalling it's four F15 fighters based at Keflavik Naval Air Station in Iceland - once a key Cold War outpost - but insisted that it remains committed to a 1951 agreement to provide for the country's defence.

ORAC,
I had not realised that the force there had dwindled to so few aircraft.
I remember a time there was a whole fighter wing there on permanent basing, the only unit number I remember was the 57th FIS.
How things change.
Keflavik is a stunning place. But not for everyone. Very desolate.
