I cant say I'm too bothered. The pays the same, the jobs the same! Besides stores have run out of AE, and S brevets anyway. More to the the point with the ever increasing power of the pencil pushers et al, it wont be long before you are not allowed to wear it on your chest as it might offend some "under achievers". Bring back the old No2 jacket with Brevets and medal ribbons!! Besides the new one has a crown and is one wing pilot brevet. Does that mean my career will still go round in circles!?. Fourth, Third, Second Lead. Ground tour, Fourth, Third, Second, Lead etc etc.
I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
Never bought (or begged) a stores one anyway. Guess either cut off an old one or leg it around to Snaith's for a spare.

The pettiness of inter-service rivalry have to be seen to be believed.
It is bizarre to report that as of approximately 2000, non-aircrew in the Canadian air force (supply technicians, admin clerks, etc.) all wear half-assed brevets (with a runty sort of wing on the right side) on the right breast of their service tunics (see e.g. this photo). Why?!
P.S. I don't know why the decision was made for all RAF rearcrew classifications to wear the same badge, but presumably this was done for reasons of simplicity and economy. If this is so, why not go the whole hog and replace all rearcrew and pilot badges with one "aircrew" badge?
