Copied that pic to my 3 sons (44,43 and 28) last year and said that was how Dad misspent his youth - none of them believed me!

I remember my JP landaway from RAFC - just after starting the leg towards the Nant Ffrancon A5 pass in out JP5, a Gnat went scooting past us....

Had the pleasure of being "asked" if I would like to see "what they were doing and where" when I had one of my three back seat pax rides at Valley.

As the expression goes.... "an offer you can't refuse" .

Have googled to try and find definition and or video - but the only video seems to be shot from far away.
Not quite sure where the roll is in preceding videos posted.
A twinkle roll is... a rapid aileron roll executed by all ships in a formation.. right?
Have never heard the expression before.
Why the name...?

Possibly from the phrase "in the twinkling of an eye", something that happens very quickly.
