Well, it might have been an 8th Air Force or a 15th Air Force bomb, so perhaps the RAF are off the hook.

It's spelt 'damn' or 'damned' not 'damm'; 'damm' is the name of a lager made in Barcelona.
Anyway could it not have been a German bomb?

Its damn decent of the Italians to put messages in English. Thameslink don't make announcements in Italian.

Off for a mystery scenic tour of Northern Italy. Still Delay Repay should cover the bottles of red I got from the cafe bar, before it runs out.
Have reversed two stops to Verona and see when we get to Milan...

Nice to see a nod to Catullus, if only in passing.

There are many, many worse places than Sirmione to be stuck! Loved my holidays around Garda.

Why is this thread in the 'Military' section; there's no proof whatsoever that the bomb is British.

Dave Gittins - You are travelling with the wrong train company. Try Chiltern Railways - they give announcements in Mandarin (purely to cater for the Chinese visitors to Bicester Village).

The upshot was that as we missed our connection to Rome at Milan Centrale they put us on the later train...as there was no space in steerage we were bumped up to Business Class, got free meal and drinkies, a full refund for the Venice to Milan sector and was met by a hire taxi to our hotel...beat that British Rail ..... oh and the Ryder Cup on Sunday was a bonus ⛳
Thank you whoever's bomb it was

Those I've heard certainly don't seem to be in English either!
