Chinook the ultimate aphrodisiac

You might think it’s a load of croc, but apparently it is!

Ask any of the crew at the reptile farm and they will tell you the same thing.

A good thunderstorm is the crocodilian equivalent of Barry White crooning sweet, syrupy nothings at his baritone best.

It's an irresistible love potion painted across the wide blue yonder – but there's something even more carnally stimulating than the flash and crack of a furious electrical discharge.

Chinook helicopters.

The Singapore Armed Forces regularly hold bilateral military training operations in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area about 100 kilometres north of Rockhampton, and its pilots use the crocodile farm as a marker point to change course mid-flight.

"We had a big Chinook that came down low because the guys wanted to take some pictures of the crocodiles," Mr Lever says.

"They were hanging out the door … and of course, Chinooks have got a big thump, thump, thump, like that."

The ensuing debauch would have made Dionysus blush.

It is clearly a quirk of nature that the croc population around Odiham is not growing exponentially.

Well it is true and not just for Croc's!

In my youth, upon completing the Chinook Conversion Course we were expected to use our longish staffs (Seven foot long wooden ones issued to us ) to fend off the Ladies as we invariably drew the attention of so many at a time.

It is a myth in my belief as I suggest it was because Chinook Pilots were selected for their handsomeness and flying ability thus standing out from the lesser folk who were assigned to the single rotor fleets and not the sound of the rotors.

Perhaps the US Army might commission a research study of the Alligator population at Fort Stewart in Georgia to see if the reported Croc response correlates to AmericanGator and Crocs as we are doubly blessed with both kinds. (F's and MH's).

If you got the speed, power and rate of descent just so and the nodal beams began tramping...the vertical bounce could become something quite unforgettable!
But I don't think you military guys qualified for that due equipment...

Not just reptiles, humans as well, which is why we love music - it’s the beat man….

Thank the sacculus, now part of the inner ear of all mammals and reptiles. Orig8nally used by fish in the deep dark of the sea to attract mates it still plays an inadvertent role today…

I remember spending some time in the jump seat of a Chinook over Gütersloh while a couple of pilots practised autorotating onto the runway from a great height. The vibration was akin to sitting on a washing machine with a brick in it during a protracted spin cycle.
