You should have brought the good standard to the photo shoot.

This is the good standard....

Do you think there is enough left in the Defence Budget to repair or replace?

And finally we the French army wish to address the makers of DAZ who said their product would wash whiter than white, this is the result of a 30 degrees cool wash on our coloureds.

The Armée de terre were flabbergasted when Russell Crowe started to sing in Les Miserables!

Seeing European efforts were *flagging, Macron volunteered his troops, just back from Africa.

*Thanks to Chu Chu for the hint.

Mine would have been:

We've all had enough, but are you sure we can make it across?
As long as we hold the flag this way, the Swiss border guards will think we're Dutch.

Fortunately, though, there were much better entries.

Runners up, in no particular order:

NutLoose, with: Stand perfectly still, and that includes you Pierre.
Buster, with: A little late taking the Iron off there Hoskins!
BPF, with: You should have brought the good standard to the photo shoot/This is the good standard....; and
Jolihokistix, with: That man without his moustache, yes you at the back there, what the devil do you think this is? Sacré bleu, hide your face!

And the winner of the coveted CapComp trophy is . . .
Wensleydale, with: There is evidence of French Infantry lowering their Standards.

Trophy may be a bit delayed, as I had to swap it for the standard.
